About me
I am a Fifth year MS/Ph.D. candidate at CICS,UMass Amherst. In my PhD work, I dabble with problems in Mechanistic and Functional Interpretability, with applications in Information Retrieval and Bioinformatics. I am fortunate to be advised by James Allan. I graduated with Honours in Computer Science from IIIT-Delhi in May 2018. I spent Summer’22 as an AI intern in Genentech and Summer’17 as a Software intern at Google India.
I am passionate about using Artificial Intelligence to enhance genomic understanding. My current focus is on developing Explainable AI methods that alleviate scientific understanding, by uncovering unknown mechanisms and properties of the underlying data generating processes.
Many moons ago, I performed an Arangetram in Bharatnatyam and cleared Madhyamik in Hindustani Sangeet. These days, I spend most of my leisure time on my sewing machine.
