About me

I am a Fourth year MS/Ph.D. student at CICS,UMass Amherst. I dabble with problem in Interpretability and Ranking, sometimes with applications in Bioinformatics. I am fortunate to be advised by James Allan. I graduated with Honours in Computer Science from IIIT-Delhi in May 2018. I spent Summer’22 as an AI intern in Genentech and Summer’17 as a Software intern at Google India.

Many moons ago, I performed an Arangetram in Bharatnatyam and cleared Madhyamik in Hindustani Sangeet. These days, I spend most of my leisure time on my sewing machine.

I am passionate about using Artificial Intelligence to enhance drug discovery, precision medicine and genomic understanding. My current focus is on developing Explainable AI methods that alleviate scientific understanding, by uncovering unknown mechanisms and properties of the underlying data generating processes.
